Housekeeping
We recognize that each client’s preferences are unique, and we ensure that their needs are being met and fulfilled to their expectations. It is our priority that your loved ones are in a safe, orderly and clean environment. Our home support workers know the importance of maintaining our client’s independence, therefore we aim to include them in light housekeeping duties while staying within their limitations. Housekeeping duties include but are not limited to: Laundry, sweeping/mopping, dusting, bathrooms, making beds, etc.
Personal Care
Quality Home Care is committed to providing advise, encouragement, emotional and psychological support to our client’s with regards to all personal care. Our home support workers are knowledgeable and compassionate when respecting our client’s personal needs. Personal Care duties include but are not limited to, assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, completing oral hygiene routines, etc.
Meal Preparation
Our home support staff can prepare traditional Newfoundland meals while being mindful of dietary restrictions including underlying health conditions, interactions with medications, allergies and personal preference. Meal Preparation duties include but are not limited to arranging grocery orders, meal planning and preparation, assistance with feeding, as well as allowing your loved one to be able to enjoy their cup of tea or coffee.
Medication Reminders
We work with clients, families and medical practitioners to thoroughly monitor medication schedules and remind clients of the importance of taking their medication at the directed time determined by their doctor.
Respite Care
Caring for a loved one can be overwhelming at times, our respite care can relieve some of the stress and give you and your family the opportunity to tend to your own needs. As a caregiver, you may find it difficult to fulfill day to day tasks such as running errands, socializing, completing household duties, etc. Respite care can allow you to catch up and this free time can help you return to your care giving duties feeling recharged and refreshed.
Companionship
Quality Home Care Service’s goal is to provide emotional support and socialization for our clients. Companionship can be offered in a variety of ways including:
- Social outings (Church, bingo, card games, concerts, etc.)
- Assistance while traveling to appointments
- Assistance with shopping and errands
- Light exercise (go for a walk outside on a nice day, rehabilitation workouts, etc.)
- Laundry
- Knitting
- Cooking & baking
This service can be customized to meet the specific needs of our clients as we take the time to get to know your loved ones and their interests to ensure we are providing them with a better quality of life.
